Summer Adventures, Photo Shoots, and Chubby Skeletons

There is just too much to say, and so much that has gone on from the summer through the fall that I will just have to say it all with pictures!!! So here we go:

We went boating and then had a BBQ and some fireworks on the 4th of July. Will enjoyed all of the new festivities.

.

Alex has been busy this summer. He went on a few fourwheeling trips with some work friends that were visiting from Germany and New Zealand. He also took some of those individuals down to Moab for a couple of days for some hiking and biking.

The end of July we went on a Wells family vacation to Flaming Gorge for a few days. What a blast! Will enjoys the boat, and there was some great boarding, food and some intense games of Hearts! Will also tried his first melon...a cantalope which he very much enjoyed!

I also took Will's 7 month photos. (Um...they were supposed to be six month but by the time I actually got them done he was a week away from being 7 months old! Time really does fly!

It seems that the next two months flew by with little family activities weddings etc. and then it was Halloween! Will got his first two teeth the day before which was a real treat for all of us! We also spent some time over at Alex's sisters house taking some Fall pictures of her kids and took some for Will's 9 month photo as well. But unfortunately I will have to post those later after I am done working on them! But here are some fun pictures of Will's first Halloween. Pretty much the cutest and chunkiest skeleton ever!

Father's Day

Father's Day was a great day! I am so grateful to have such a wonderful husband, and we enjoyed celebrating his first Father's Day! He is such a great Dad, and you can tell that Will loves him so much! He seems to get a extra dose of energy between 5 and 6 in the evening when Dad comes home and loves to play until it is time for bed. We were able to make it to both of our Dad's to wish them both a Happy Father's Day. We are both very grateful for the wonderful examples that our fathers have been in our lives. There are so many happy childhood memories of spending time with each of them! Alex was able to enjoy a fun day full of good food, family, and even some fun gifts! We love him very much and are so glad that he is our daddy! We couldn't ask for any better!

Will's most recent Photo Shoot

Michelle Kemp did such a great job capturing our little guy! There are so many great pictures to choose from....and I really would be here all night if I tried to post them all, so here are a few of the favorites!! Will is about 3 and a half months old in these pictures taken at Anderson Park in Pleasant Grove! It really seems like just yesterday I was posting his six week photos! He is now a hefty 18.5 lbs at 4 months and is our little smiley boy!

Will can laugh!

Will's been able to laugh for a little while, but this is the best video we've got of it. I got Will to laugh for a little bit on Mother's day while Hillary recorded it. It's amazing to see the little guy grow up and start to be loads of fun. We love the little tike--as does everyone else ;).

Back to Work

I went back to work the beginning of this month, and I must say that I have enjoyed it. I have been working once a week, and it seems to be a nice little break. Will stays at my mom's house when I work during the day, and grandma loves it! I am so grateful to have her close! When I work at night he is home with his dad, and grandma comes over in the morning so I can sleep for a few hours. I still am trying to figure out how I manage to stay up for 24 hours when I work the night shift.....but some how with lots of prayers and caffeine I seem to make it!

I think about Will non-stop during my whole 12 hour shift and it always seems to keep me smiling no matter how the day is going. He is so fun to be around right now with his little chatter and giggling! We seem to have the most fun with him in the morning. He is usually grinning from ear to ear when go to get him out of his bed and the second he sees you, the arms start flailing and the legs a kickin'! He gets the most "chatty" when he is getting his diaper changed which always makes me laugh. He must be letting me know how nice it is to have a clean bum! I can't believe how fast he is growing! I think he is at about 16 lbs or so right now with the cutest little bull dog cheeks and trees trunks for legs! He is sleeping in his own room now and doing great. He goes down for the night between 7 and 9 and pretty much sleeps through the night! He is also quite the little drooler and loves to have anything and everything in his mouth. Here is a little video of Will talking to Alex during changing time!

Vegas and More!

March has come and gone so fast! Will is growing and changing everyday. We are enjoying his smiles and are excited to see that he is getting very close to laughing! We weighed him the other day and he was a hefty 14.1 lbs! He enjoys standing and playing with mom and dad, tubby time, and getting his diaper changed. Oh, and did I mention he loves eating as well! He has found his little tongue and licks everything in front of his face and is also enjoying sticking his fist in his mouth.

We spent this last weekend down in Vegas for my cousin's wedding. We were shocked at how well Will did in the car! Really shocked actually! He is quite the spoiled little guy when it comes to always being held. But he was good in the car on the way down and back. He even watched Finding Nemo for a half an hour! (well, he stared at the colorful screen and enjoyed the sound) On the way home after we stopped in Cedar City he ended up sleeping the entire way home after that. Some of you may say big deal, my 2 and a 1/2 month old can do that too.....but for Will it was a big deal considering that during the day he won't take a nap and stay asleep unless I am holding him! This is something that I am working on changing but it has been a struggle. During the night he does fine, but the day is a totally different story! The only reason that I even have a second to post right now is because I have put him down and am letting him try to cry himself to sleep. I have to admit it really is torture. I keep watching the clock trying to decide how long I will let him cry. It is nice to know that he just likes to have his mom close during the day, but I really need to be able to get some things done while he is sleeping....like taking a shower or something before 6pm!!! Besides all of the that, Vegas was so nice and warm. It was also fun to see cousins and be with family. It was my first time in the Vegas temple, and it too like all the rest of them was beautiful. Coleman and his bride Mandy were a beautiful couple! Alex was such a great husband, and stayed with Will at the hotel for bedtime and nap time so that I could attend the wedding dinner and temple ceremony. I can't tell you how many times he said to me " don't worry, I got it, you just enjoy yourself!" I really couldn't do it all without him! It was sad to drive back home to Utah stormy weather! Here are some photos of him in the car watching Finding Nemo and also smiling for Grandpa Great, while waiting to go to the Reception!

A few weeks back I was able to visit and have lunch with my friend Aubree Cooper while she was in town. Will was able to meet a new little friend. Henry was born just a week before Will. It was fun to visit and take some pictures of our kids together! Henry was so nice and clam while Will was kind of all over the place. As you can see by these photos I believe Henry was a little perplexed as to why he was woken up and who was this wild child sitting next to him!

And to finish of the news and updates, Alex's younger brother Michael also received his mission call last Wednesday! He will be going to the Dallas, Texas, Spanish- speaking mission!! He will be leaving he beginning of June. We are so excited for him as well as proud of him for making the sacrifice to serve the Lord!

Oh and I guess that both Alex and I became one year older and wiser on the 23rd this month! Our special day just seemed to blend into all of the others as it seems to do when you get older! But Alex was sure to spoil me and we did make it out to dinner a few days later!

Blessing Day

We had the opportunity to bless Will this last Sunday March 1st! Alex did a wonderful job and gave Will a beautiful blessing, and with the million little prayers I said the night before and all day Sunday, Will did excellent as well! He was very fortunate to have a large blessing circle full of family and friends. All who are worthy priesthood holders and will be wonderful examples of men in his life. Here are a few pictures of Will and Dad that we took before church. The blessing outfit had a cute little hat to go with it that was just a little big. We thought it made him look like a little newsie/doughboy! Since he didn't wear it to church we figured we'd get a cute picture with it on. Note: About 5 minutes after I put him in the outfit he decided to spit up on it! (He hardly EVER spits up...but today....he did!) It was bound to happen right?! Anyway, it was a wonderful day and we are so thankful to have had all of our family and friends with us! Thank you to everyone who came and gave their love and support!
