Christmas Day

So thankfully Will has no idea about Santa yet, so we were able to sleep in until around 8 or so on Christmas morning. But for some reason Will must have known it was a special day because he was so giggly and happy as we all were walking down the stairs. He just couldn't stop laughing at Alex. We sat down with Will and opened presents as he pulled off the bows and ribbon and started placing them in spots where he saw fit. After presents were all done, we put in the beloved "BOLT" (Will's favorite movie right now) and fixed a yummy breakfast! Here are some fun pictures of our day!

Will loves books, and immediately started looking at them once they were opened.

Alex's mother made stockings for each of her children and spouses, so I am now carrying on the tradition and made one for Will. I didn't realize how much work it would be, but I was very pleased with the finished product!

Will's first set of wheels.

One of Will's favorite gifts was his toothbrush! I figured that it was a good idea to get his one considering he was chewing on mine every morning.

Opening presents with Grandpa and Grandma Wells later that afternoon.

As a funny side note we also found that Will likes fruitcake....well at least his Grandma Quintero's fruitcake anyway. I was pretty shocked when he just kept taking bites. He just wanted to play with it at first so I cut him a piece, and he surprised me when he started chowin' down. We also let him try a dark chocolate raspberry stick......hahahahahaha I am still laughing! Enjoy!

Christmas Eve

Well we started our fun on Christmas Eve up at Ruth and Tommy's place for some fun with the Quintero Family. We enjoyed some great food and treats as well as some fun "Christmas Olympic Games" hosted by the Cook family. It has been a long time since we all were together, in fact I believe that the last time was when Michael, Alex's younger brother was leaving for his mission in June. Things definitely got a little wild and crazy, especially considering that there are many competitors in this family. All I have to say, is WATCH OUT if you ever come face to face in competing with us:)! Here are some photos of our fun afternoon:

Some of the family settling for a new game. Yes I know that no one is paying attention, except for Tommy who always seems to know when his picture is being taken in which we get a "peace" or a funny face.

There were a few different games involving these Christmas boxes.

And one of the last games was a race to put together our own.....Reindeer, yes that is what you are looking at in this photo! Thank you James, Sarah, and Tommy for volunteering!

Later that night when we arrived at home, my family came over to see Will open his one present on Christmas eve. This has been a tradition in my family ever since I can remember. We usually opened new PJ's, but since Will was already wearing his new PJ's he opened another gift from Grandma and Grandpa Wells.

Playing with Grandpa before getting to business.

Playing with his new toy, and for the life of him did not want to put that green ribbon down.

So our first Christmas eve with Will was pretty much perfect. We were able to see all of our family!!

Merry Christmas

December has come and is almost gone! But we have had some wonderful times. Alex and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary December 10th. Yes, we still love each other and enjoyed dinner and a movie while my parents stayed with Will. This will be Will's first Christmas, and we are excited to share it with him. Although he doesn't really understand anything that is going on it has been so fun to see his reactions to snow, lights, presents, and the Christmas tree. He enjoys holding the little round ornaments and tucking them like a football as he touches the lights one at a time with his pointer finger. He also tried his first candy cane, as you can see, and now enjoys peppermint! We hope that all of you will have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the New Year.

Summer Adventures, Photo Shoots, and Chubby Skeletons

There is just too much to say, and so much that has gone on from the summer through the fall that I will just have to say it all with pictures!!! So here we go:

We went boating and then had a BBQ and some fireworks on the 4th of July. Will enjoyed all of the new festivities.

.

Alex has been busy this summer. He went on a few fourwheeling trips with some work friends that were visiting from Germany and New Zealand. He also took some of those individuals down to Moab for a couple of days for some hiking and biking.

The end of July we went on a Wells family vacation to Flaming Gorge for a few days. What a blast! Will enjoys the boat, and there was some great boarding, food and some intense games of Hearts! Will also tried his first melon...a cantalope which he very much enjoyed!

I also took Will's 7 month photos. (Um...they were supposed to be six month but by the time I actually got them done he was a week away from being 7 months old! Time really does fly!

It seems that the next two months flew by with little family activities weddings etc. and then it was Halloween! Will got his first two teeth the day before which was a real treat for all of us! We also spent some time over at Alex's sisters house taking some Fall pictures of her kids and took some for Will's 9 month photo as well. But unfortunately I will have to post those later after I am done working on them! But here are some fun pictures of Will's first Halloween. Pretty much the cutest and chunkiest skeleton ever!

Father's Day

Father's Day was a great day! I am so grateful to have such a wonderful husband, and we enjoyed celebrating his first Father's Day! He is such a great Dad, and you can tell that Will loves him so much! He seems to get a extra dose of energy between 5 and 6 in the evening when Dad comes home and loves to play until it is time for bed. We were able to make it to both of our Dad's to wish them both a Happy Father's Day. We are both very grateful for the wonderful examples that our fathers have been in our lives. There are so many happy childhood memories of spending time with each of them! Alex was able to enjoy a fun day full of good food, family, and even some fun gifts! We love him very much and are so glad that he is our daddy! We couldn't ask for any better!

Will's most recent Photo Shoot

Michelle Kemp did such a great job capturing our little guy! There are so many great pictures to choose from....and I really would be here all night if I tried to post them all, so here are a few of the favorites!! Will is about 3 and a half months old in these pictures taken at Anderson Park in Pleasant Grove! It really seems like just yesterday I was posting his six week photos! He is now a hefty 18.5 lbs at 4 months and is our little smiley boy!

Will can laugh!

Will's been able to laugh for a little while, but this is the best video we've got of it. I got Will to laugh for a little bit on Mother's day while Hillary recorded it. It's amazing to see the little guy grow up and start to be loads of fun. We love the little tike--as does everyone else ;).
